We supply plants that work
Water treatment is only as good as the technology behind it. At Pielkenrood, we have spent more than 55 years developing refining and improving our own technologies – many of which have become industry standards.

Oil-water separator
Pielkenrood’s Cross Flow Interceptor (CFI) separators remove free oil and settleable solids through gravity separation. The crossflow configuration enables simultaneous oil and solids removal, recovering valuable oil and reducing the load on subsequent treatment stages.
- Crossflow technology with corrugated plate packs
- Project-specific design for flow, oil droplets and solids
- Solutions for new installations and upgrades of existing separators
Chemical dosing
Effective chemical treatment depends on selecting the right chemicals and applying them at the right dose. Pielkenrood designs dosing packages to support your treatment process, with chemical storage, preparation and dosing equipment selected to suit the application.
- Chemical selection and dosing requirements supported by testing
- Dosing skids with pumps, instrumentation and protective equipment
- Automated dosing based on process parameters such as flow or pH

Dissolved gas flotation
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) and dissolved gas flotation (DGF) remove dispersed oil and suspended solids remaining after gravity separation. Fine bubbles attach to contaminants and carry them to the surface for removal. Coagulation and flocculation can improve separation where required.
- Air or alternative gas selected for the process conditions
- Atmospheric and pressurised system configurations
- Float removal designed to minimise water carried into the sludge stream
Produced water treatment
Produced water treatment combines several technologies into a process tailored to your water composition and reinjection requirements. Pielkenrood integrates gravity separation, physical-chemical treatment, flotation and filtration to recover oil and remove remaining contaminants.
- Primary oil recovery before chemical treatment
- Integrated treatment stages for dispersed oil and suspended solids
- Filtration and backwash treatment matched to the overall process

Coagulation & flocculation
Coagulation and flocculation prepare fine particles and dispersed oil for separation. Pielkenrood’s Coiled Pipe Reactor (CPR) provides controlled mixing through a sequence of pipe sections, supporting effective chemical treatment without mechanical agitators.
- Chemical selection and dosage established through testing
- Controlled mixing for coagulation and floc formation
- Integration with flotation and other separation stages
Biological treatment
Biological treatment uses microorganisms to remove biodegradable pollutants from wastewater. Pielkenrood’s sequencing batch reactor (SBR) systems carry out treatment, settling and discharge in a controlled sequence, with operating conditions matched to the wastewater characteristics.
- Solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater
- Controlled treatment cycles and aeration
- Integration with pretreatment where the wastewater requires it
