Produced water treatment

An integrated approach to produced water

For ARA Petroleum in Oman, Pielkenrood designed and supplied an integrated produced water treatment system with a design flow of 167 m³/h. The package combines several treatment stages to remove oil and suspended solids from the water.

Complementary treatment technologies

The system comprises a pressurised Cross Flow Interceptor, a coagulation and flocculation reactor, a dissolved gas flotation unit and two nutshell filters. Each stage addresses a different part of the treatment process, from primary separation to final filtration.

Engineering through start-up

The supply included process pumps, chemical tanks and dosing cabinets, piping, instrumentation and electrical controls. Pielkenrood also provided supervision during erection, installation, commissioning and start-up.
